History, nostalgic longing and inevitable decay. . . drawing is the foundation point for a body of work which uses mixed media, photography, painting and illustration to investigate the subjects.

The works have undercurrents of childhood experience, abandoned places woven into memories of 'heroic' exploits as told via cinematic war stories through the monochromatic viewfinder of Anderson, Balcon and Cavalcanti. All still here, just lying underneath, being gently eaten away.

"The epoch of adventures with analogue machines, and the human hand that steered those inventions and discoveries is largely embedded now in a digital amber, or else lovingly restored and polished, ready for the modern replication/reboot ritual and occasional outings'.

We don't really make anything anymore. . .do we?

Is it all just in our heads now?"
