ENTROPY

Eaten away: The natural order of metal

The work lingers on the connection between entropic decay in organic matter and the chemical process of rust in ferrous metals.

An obsession with obsolescence and the accelerated act of decay and dismemberment at the hand of the cutting torch.

The work is connected to nostalgic longing for adolescence and the decaying machinery and infrastructure of a nationalised rail network.

"We've all got to go sooner or later".
